When beginning a meal
If one forgets to mention Allah at the beginning
- In the Name of Allah at the beginning and at the end..
After finishing a meal
- Praise be to Allah Who has fed us and given us drink and made us Muslims..
When given a drink
- O Allah! Feed him who fed me and give him drink who gave me to drink..
Upon drinking milk
- O Allah! Bless us in it and give us increase of it..
When dining at someone's house
- O Allah! Bless them in what You have provided for them, and forgive them and have Mercy on them..
For someone who offers you a meal
- O Allah! Feed him who fed me and give him drink who gave me to drink..
When opening your fast
- O Allah! For You I have fasted and upon your provision, I have broken my fast..
- Thirst is gone, the veins are moistened and the reward is certain if Allaah wills..
For someone who provides you with Iftar
- May the fasting (men) break their fast with you, and the pious eat your food, and the angels pray for blessing on you..
