For a healthy life
- O Allah, grant my body health, O Allah, grant my hearing health, O Allah, grant my sight health. None has the right to be worshipped except You. O Allah, I take refuge with You from disbelief and poverty, and I take refuge with You from the punishment of the grave. None has the right to be worshipped except You. .
When Visiting the Sick
- Do not worry, it will be a purification (for you), Allah willing..
- I ask Allah who is the Lofty and the Lord of the Mighty Throne that He cures you (Prophet Mohammad (SAW.) said that by reciting this dua seven times, the ill person will regain his health and if death occurs then that (death) is a different issue (i.e. death is written it cannot be prevented)).
To alleviate pain
- In the Name of Allah, I seek refuge in the might and power of Allah from the evil of what I feel and what I fear..
During illness
- [Surah Al-Falaq]Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak, From the evil of that which He created, And from the evil of darkness when it settles, And from the evil of the blowers in knots, And from the evil of an envier when he envies." [Surah An-Nas]Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind, The Sovereign of mankind, The God of mankind, From the evil of the retreating whisperer, Who whispers [evil] into the breasts of mankind, From among the jinn and mankind.".
Upon seeing someone going through a trial or tribulation
- Praise is to Allah Who has spared me what He has afflicted you with, and preferred me greatly above much of what He has created..
If you fall on hard times
- Indeed, adversity has touched me, and you are the Most Merciful of the merciful..
When you are nearing your death
- O Allah, forgive me and have mercy upon me and join me with the highest companions (in Paradise)..
- There is none worthy of worship but Allah, Allah is the Most Great. None has the right to be worshipped but Allah alone. None has the right to be worshipped but Allah alone, Who has no partner.
